Vico IT Solutions repairs overview
Warranty and Returns for Devices
At Vico IT Solutions, we provide warranty and return policies for a variety of devices, including Smartphones, Tablets, Macbooks, iMacs, Laptops, and others. The warranty terms may vary depending on the type of repair or service provided:
Service Warranty:
- For repairs involving screens, batteries, and component repairs, Vico IT Solutions typically offers a 90-day service warranty.
- If no specific warranty period is stated or advised, a 30-day warranty period will apply.
Warranty Claims:
- For repair work within the warranty period, we will determine whether the fault is related to the parts used or the work performed by us or our service partners, or if it’s due to normal wear and tear.
- To make a warranty claim, you must provide a receipt as proof of service.
Software-Related Services:
- Please note that no warranty is offered for software-related service work provided by Vico IT Solutions or our service partners.
Manufacturer Warranties:
- You acknowledge that any repair may void the original manufacturer’s warranty, and Vico IT Solutions or its service agents will not be liable in such cases.
Assessment Fees and Pickups:
- There are assessment fees for device evaluations: $60 for phones and other electrical devices, $80 for computers, $100 for liquid-damaged smartphones, $150 for liquid-damaged computers, and $140 for insurance assessments and reports.
- These assessment charges are separate from repair costs.
Unclaimed Devices:
- If you do not collect or arrange delivery of your assessed or repaired device within 60 days of notification, we may sell the device to recover our costs.
Customer Data:
- While data loss is unlikely, it’s your responsibility to ensure your backups are up to date.
- Vico IT Solutions and our service partners may attempt data backups when possible, but we are not responsible for customer data and backups.
- For certain iPhone and computer repairs, we may need your iCloud/Google account credentials to complete the repair effectively.
Apple In-Warranty Repair:
- For Apple products, warranty repair processes are facilitated by Vico IT Solutions.
- If Apple deems the issue covered under its warranty, it may repair or replace devices outside of the standard 12-month warranty.
- Vico IT Solutions will provide an initial assessment to Apple Service Partners, requiring your PIN, Apple ID, and password.
- Backup services may be offered separately.
- No device will be tested if it would void your product warranty.
Manufacturer Warranties (Apple):
- You accept that Apple NZ or approved service providers will handle any repair covered by Apple’s warranty.
Liability for Liquid Damage:
- Liquid treatments are not covered by the 90-day warranty.
- Liquid damage can void your device’s factory warranty.
- Vico IT Solutions is not responsible for device failure during or after liquid treatment.
- By signing the disclaimer, you acknowledge the voiding of any existing warranty.
Payment for Liquid Treatment:
- Payment for liquid treatment must be made before the procedure.
- Replacement of damaged components may be charged separately.
Unclaimed Repaired Devices:
